Shell Announces acquisition plans for Mount Storm Wind Project in Grant County, West Virginia

Shell WindEnergy was established in 2001 and focuses on development, ownership and operation of large-scale wind farms in the United States

Shell WindEnergy Inc. (“Shell WindEnergy”), a major wind farm developer and operator in the United States, today announced the proposed acquisition of NedPower Mount Storm LLC (“NedPower”), the owner of the Mount Storm wind project in Grant County, West Virginia. The proposed acquisition is subject to the receipt of all necessary governmental approvals and other conditions to closing.  NedPower and Shell WindEnergy yesterday made a related filing with the West Virginia Public Service Commission.

“Shell WindEnergy is looking forward to becoming a productive corporate citizen in West Virginia. The Mount Storm project will help to further diversify the Appalachian economy and bring the region clean, renewable energy,” said Milton Hernandez, Chairman of the Board of Shell WindEnergy.
