23/01/2005

Shell Oil Company and Motiva Enterprises joined other Shell companies in supporting the relief efforts for victims of the recent tragic events in South Asia by donating $350,000 to the Red Cross International Response Fund.

Likewise, employees of Shell and Motiva in the US joined their Shell colleagues throughout the world by making individual contributions, through the American Red Cross International Response Fund, to help the survivors of the tsunami rebuild their lives.

Shell and Motiva employees donated more than $124,000, representing one of the highest totals among companies that have reached out to their employees on behalf of the Red Cross for tsunami aid. With the Shell company contribution of $350,000, individual employee donations bring the overall Shell US total to $475,000.
