White Deer In Texas
White Deer is Shell WindEnergy’s second major commercial project in the U.S. The 80 MW wind farm is located northeast of Amarillo, Texas and consists of 80 Mitsubishi 1MW turbines.
The terrain features a slightly elevated area in a region of flat farming terrain, and the land surrounding the turbines continues to be used for farming activities. Each year, the project is estimated to produce enough energy to power approximately 24,000 households.
