Colorado Green
The 162 MW wind farm is located 23 miles south of Lamar in Prowers Country, Colorado.
Lamar is east of Pueblo on the Arkansas River in southeastern Colorado. Colorado Green was constructed in six months and began operations in December 2003. It consists of 108 GE 1.5 MW turbines and produces enough energy to power 49,000 households.
Colorado Green is co-owned with Iberdrola Renewables.
