Cold Weather Front - Statement

With the current cold front moving through the Gulf States, Shell Oil Company and Motiva Enterprises have implemented plans to minimize the weather pattern’s impact on our refineries and chemical plants. We have executed freeze-preparedness processes which include protection of piping systems, instrumentation and other critical equipment that may be susceptible to freezing conditions. We monitor all weather developments and take appropriate action to help protect our people, assets and the environment, and to ensure we have a reliable supply of fuel for our customers.

This is our official statement regarding this weather system. We do not comment on the operational status of individual refineries for competitive reasons.
