Safety Update: Sunday’s Wreck and Safety

On the final lap of the IndyCar Race 2 in Houston, there was an unfortunate crash which impacted driver Dario Franchitti, a track official and a several fans.

Immediately after the accident, safety crews and race officials were on the scene and worked to address the situation.

While accidents are an inherent risk of the sport, our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who were hurt. We are very happy to hear reports that the official and spectators injured in the accident have been released from the hospital and that Dario is doing well.
