Circuit of The Americas, host to the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX, has planned an extensive lineup of interactive displays, live musical performances, racing-themed areas and more at Austin Fan Fest fueled by Shell.

The FREE, four-day interactive festival covering 12 square blocks in downtown Austin will include experiential exhibits by dozens of corporate partners working to extend the Grand Prix party to sports enthusiasts throughout race weekend.  Here’s a sample of what’s in store:

Shell fuels Austin Fan Fest

As the presenting sponsor, Shell will be fueling the Austin Fan Fest with daily, FREE prizes.  Each day of the event, one lucky fan will drive away with FREE Shell V-Power Premium Gasoline for a year and multiple fans will take home Shell Gift Cards!

Fans can enter at the Shell Mobility Experience which provides interactive exhibits and educational displays. While there, fans can check out real race cars, sit in a simulator cockpit and race to the finish or race on a slot car track. Fans are also invited to get a picture in front of a cool 3-D background, and can share their passion for driving in the Shell V-Power® “Formula for Excitement" contest.

Additionally, fans can learn about Smarter Driving to get the most out of their fuel purchases, see what tomorrow’s vehicles may look like or learn how to save on fuel through the Fuel Rewards Network program.

Connect with Formula 1 Teams and Suppliers

Check out the 2013 Formula One World Champion Constructors as the team from Infiniti Red Bull Racing shows off its F1 race cars in various places around the festival footprint.  Red Bull Racing and Pirelli, the official tire supplier for Formula 1 racing, will also have racing simulators available for wannabe racers eager to test their driving skills.

Fun, games and wild rides

In addition to the KXAN Kids Zone featuring Mattel’s Hot Wheels display, go-karts and entertainment for children, Austin Fan Fest fueled by Shell will offer a variety of family friendly options throughout its 12 blocks.  Fans can experience the exhilaration of zipping through the air at the Fan Fest Zip Line and try to keep their seat on the Mechanical Bull ride.

Feel the beat

In addition to its music stage featuring artists from a variety of Latin music genres, Univision is providing fans with a “Games 2 U” truck for kids to play their favorite video games, plus an interactive photo opportunity where guests can have their photos taken in a simulated Formula 1 Winner’s Podium.

Additionally, fans will have a chance to see Texas-based Univision TV and radio personalities Nov. 16 and 17.

Whet your whistle in style

Adults will be able to enjoy the sponsored beverage areas scattered throughout Austin Fan Fest fueled by Shell, including the Bud Light Bar and Tito’s Handmade Vodka Bar. In addition to sponsoring live music stages at the festival, the companies will be selling their spirits at designated areas throughout the weekend.

Live the high life

The 2nd Street District at Austin Fan Fest fueled by Shell will showcase high-profile brands in a swanky setting.

Cadillac will feature the world’s fastest family of production cars at the Cadillac Café. Check out the Cadillac V-series, which was schooled on the Nurburgring, the famed Formula 1 circuit in Germany.

The Cadillac Café will also be offering a variety of food and drink options at the festival. Well-known spirits brands, such as GH Mumm, E & J Gallo and Beck’s, will join a variety of Austin restaurants in offering fans tastings and cooking demonstrations.

Meanwhile, the Sony 4K Lounge will give fans a place to kick back and relax while enjoying the sound and picture from Sony’s new 65-inch, 4K ultra high-definition TV monitors.

Be a winner!

Festival sponsors Texas Lottery and AT&T will be offering fans the chance to win exclusive prizes along with interactive games and demonstrations. The Texas Lottery is offering a variety of games for fans, including its money machine.

A&T invites race fans to participate in the What’s Your Number trivia game and put their motorsports knowledge to the test. The grand prize includes a trip to London for a tour of the Infiniti Red Bull Racing headquarters. Attendees can also try AT&T’s Pit Wall Racing Game and see if their driving skills are as sharp as a real F1 driver.
