The No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil car will carry 811 logos during the final race of the season in Homestead, FL, wrapping up a successful season promoting awareness of the importance of calling 811 before digging.

Shell announced in April that they were teaming up with the Common Ground Alliance for the fourth consecutive year during the race season to educate fans about safe digging practices. The No. 22 car also carried logos during National Safe Digging Month in April and again in August as part of National 811 Day.

In addition, Theresa Masterson of Toms River, NJ will have an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cheer on the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil car in person after winning the ‘Race to South Beach’ sweepstakes. Beginning August 10, fans that visited www.racetosouthbeach.com and learned about the importance of calling 811 before undertaking home digging projects were entered to win the VIP Race Weekend in South Beach. The sweepstakes ended on October 26, 2012.
