The $10,000 contribution helps fund a number of key educational programs, such as the Industrial Academic Honors Dinner, the Wolters Accelerated scholarship program, as well as other initiatives that recognize students and educators in the Deer Park school system. The donation also reflects the long-standing partnership which Shell Deer Park has sustained for decades with educational stakeholders in the community.
The check was presented by Michelle Knight, Shell Deer Park’s Technology Manager and a member of the Partners in Education (PIE) Committee. Knight affirmed that “Education is without a doubt one of the most important areas of focus for us, whether it’s boosting math and science in the classroom, recognizing academic excellence in our students, or shedding light on the career opportunities in our industry.”
