Contractors at Shell Deer Park recognized for safety

For the 2nd year, Shell Deer Park recognized the contractor community for their safety performance

For the 2nd year, Shell Deer Park recognized the contractor community for their safety performance at the "One and Done" week-long celebration lunch at the end of March.  In a gesture of personal appreciation, Shell leaders donned red chef's aprons and served lunch under the big-top tent in the main contractor parking area.

Helen Forde, the site's Maintenance Manager, shared “We’re here to celebrate a phenomenal achievement---3.4 million man hours worked with one OSHA recordable by our contract community, and you can see them all here in Deer Park, and that’s an amazing, amazing achievement for the site.”

Adds Randy Burow, HSSE Manager, "These folks the last 2 years have really taken ownership for the safety performance here at Deer Park. They’re engaged. We have quarterly engagement sessions with them, they’re in for the program, they recognize that this is a place where you really have to be focused on the hazards that exist so you can go home safely every night.”
