Long Time Employee, Vicki Grimes, Retires

After 34 years with Shell, Vicki Grimes has decided to retire and begin a new chapter of her life. Most recently, Vicki was responsible for daily activities relating to Shell's Barrow, Alaska office.

After 34 years with Shell and much soul-searching, I have decided to retire and begin a new chapter of my life. I am saddened that I will no longer be spending time living and working in Barrow and other North Slope villages, but I’m excited about my future.

Thank you for welcoming me into Barrow and sharing your knowledge with me.  I have enjoyed the time spent building relationships with everyone I’ve met along the way and I will cherish the stories and memories you have shared with me.

Shell will continue to staff the Barrow office full-time. Howard Hill has been selected to fill my rotation. Howard grew up in Soldotna and has spent much time on the North Slope and its surrounding waters over the years. I know he will be an asset and I hope you will welcome him in his new job.

Sincerely,

Vicki Grimes
