Shell Launches New Oil Spill Response Animation

The one topic that generates the most questions about Shell’s Arctic offshore aspirations is that of oil spill recovery and response. 

In the very unlikely event of a spill, Shell has put in place an on-site, nearshore and onshore oil spill response fleet that is second to none in the world. The following animation depicts Shell assets responding to a variety of spill response scenarios in the Beaufort Sea. While conditions and scenarios vary, the equipment featured in this animation are exact at the time of this posting.
