Physical Oceanography

Shell has released volume 2 of our series Science of the U.S. Arctic Outer Continental Shelf which focuses on physical oceanography.  Volume 1 presented an overview of some of the most significant scientific activities that have taken place in the U.S. Arctic marine environment.  The goal of the second volume is to present a more informative and technically rich summary of a single discipline: physical oceanography of the Chukchi and Alaskan Beaufort Seas, including the importance of the Bering Strait.
