In 2016, Shell sponsored roughly 50 students to LYS. For 2017, Shell Deer Park is looking to sponsor four local students. Read below to learn how to apply.

LYS is a weeklong leadership seminar that takes place on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. During LYS, students go through a series of leadership skill building exercises and put their newly developed skills to practice in a group setting to discover that leadership is not merely a matter of position or authority, but a matter of action. Students are then encouraged to make a difference and to apply their knowledge and experience in their schools and communities. For more information, visit www.louisianayouthseminar.org.
