Deer Park Volunteers at Armand Bayou Nature Center

On Thursday, May 4 the Projects & Turnaround department at Shell Deer Park held its annual volunteer day at the Armand Bayou Nature Center (ABNC). Each year, a group of volunteers gets together for a day to help refurnish and bring the center’s Martyn Farm back to life. ABNC’s Stewardship Coordinator Mark Kramer shared a glowing review, commenting that the work done in during this year’s volunteering project at ABNC looked like three months’ worth of work. Some of the tasks the volunteers completed involved replacing hand-railing, painting and resurfacing pathways around the Hanson Farm House porch and railing.

“Being a welcome neighbor is part and parcel to our license to operate, which is also integral to our Flagship Vision,” said David Rennie, Projects and TA Manager at Shell Deer Park. “A big thank you to everyone who helped support and made this a complete success.”
